Kick-off Meeting – Network Right to Food, Peace and Democracy

CIRAD-IFCU, together with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano (Milan, Italy) will organize the Kick-off Meeting of the new Excellence Network « Right to Food, Peace and Democracy ».

The inaugural meeting will take place on May 24th-25th, 2018, at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy, and will count on the participation of around 15 high-level experts from well-renowned universities from all the world.

This international Excellence network will aim at following up with the latest scientific data available on the topic of right to food, peace and democracy, while providing both decision-makers and high-level Catholic authorities with updated data and recommendations in this field.

“Having as references the lines of action indicated by the Encyclical Letter LAUDATO SI’, the Network will pursue the objective to “draw on the results of the best scientific research available today” in order to address the complex interaction among access to food, malnutrition, sustainable development, peace and democracy”.
